Just got a press release from ESPN that ESPN 3D will be on Comcast in time for the start of the World Cup. It looks like the content will be available through their VOD service as well, which is interesting considering it will be live sports Content.

The New York Yankees are going to be the first baseball team to broadcast a game in 3D through their partners at YES on DirecTV. The two games that will be shown are going to be against the Seattle Mariners in Safeco Field in mid July the Yes 3D dates and times are below.

Here is the press release that’s right DirecTV to offer ESPN 3D at no additional cost. This is huge, and may set a prescient that would make it so you don’t have to pay extra to get 3D channels like we have to with HD.
